Kaohsiung is the second largest city in Taiwan. There are so many tourist destinations in the city. One of them is quite popular is the Lotus Pond. Lotus Pond is the man-made lake located in Zuoying District. Opened in 1951, it is famous for the lotus plant and nomerous temples around the lake, including the Spring and Autumn Pavilions, The Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, and the Confucian Tample.
Many activities that we can do around the lake, such as walking around the lake, fishing, or even just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery. And dont forget to take a picture.Yeah, that's the most important thing that you should do if you go to the new place.. :P
This big atatue is the Beiji Xuantian Shang Di Pavilions, which has a huge painted statue of Emeror of the Dark Heaven.
For the next destination is Wuli Pavilions.

The final stop on my tour around the lake are Dragon and Tiger Pagodas. The Dragon and Tiger Pagodas were some of the craziest temple that I've ever seen. As you approoch the temple there are threatening signs ordering you to enter through the dragon's mouth first, and exit through the lion as this supposedly siymbolises turning your bad luck into good.
Lotus pond was one of the most uniqe experiences during my time in Taiwan. I'd never seen anything like it before. I think walking through around the lake with your friends or even with your crush is not a bad idea ~^^
